Mepyramine is an ethylenediamine derivative with the action and uses of the
histamine H1 receptor antagonist, Mepyramine acts by blocking the binding
of histamine to receptors and so relieves the typical symptoms of an allergic
reaction.
Zinc Oxide is a mild astringent and is used topically as a soothing and
protective application in eczema and slight excoriations. It reflects ultraviolet
radiation, which can be effectively used, is sunburn. It is used in sunscreen
formulations.
Glycerin is an osmotic agent with lubricating and moisturizing properties and
has a wide range of pharmaceutical applications. When absorbed topically its
hygroscopic action (enhance moisture retention) helps in penetration of the
drug.
