Nicotinamide 5%
Nicotinamide has shown to be an effective skin lightening agent, by decreasing hyperpigmentation. It acts by decreasing melanocyte stimulation. NFkBwhich is normally stimulated by UV stimulates the melanocyte by releasing melanotropic factor (IL-6).Nicotinamide down-regulates this Nuclear factor kappa B (NFkB) and thus inhibits melanocyte stimulation.
